TYPES OF KENYA DESSERTS

 

A very delicious dessert is that containing apples, bananas, oranges, cinnamon, and oatmeal.

If you are interested in preparing it, you need 2 apples, 2 oranges, 2 bananas, walnuts, raisins, cinnamon, and rolled oats.

First, you wash the apples before cutting them into wedges; then you remove the core section and slice it into bite-size pieces and then put them in the baking dish.

After this, you peel the oranges into sections, cutting each section in half or thirds, and place them in the same baking dish.

Finally, you add the walnuts, raisins, and rolled oats, sprinkling in the cinnamon and mixing well.

The baking dish has to be covered and placed in the microwave oven for about 7 minutes on « high ».

In order to prepare a peach crisp you need rolled oats, raisins, fresh peaches, dates, figs, sunflower seeds, walnuts, and cinnamon.

Peaches have to be washed, cleaned, cut into pieces and 2 cups of the peach pieces have to be placed in a covered glass microwaveable dish.

After this,cinnamon and rolled oats are added, cooked in the microwave for about 5 minutes on « high » until the oats are softened.

While the peaches and oats are cooking, the dates and figs have to be cut into small pieces.

When the peach-oat mixture is removed from the oven, raisins should be added, and then everything has to be cooked for other few minutes.

Finally, after the entire dessert is removed from the oven, the remaining dates, figs, sunflower seed, walnuts, and peaches are added.
